Description

Waters Pilates & Wellness is a new Pilates studio serving downtown Savannah, Georgia and the surrounding area.  We are locally owned and managed and are focused on creating a high quality experience for our clients and building a strong sense of community. Currently, we are operating out of a charming neighborhood based studio.  Starting in early 2025, we will move to our permanent home in a newly renovated building. Once there, we will have a Pilates group class studio, a private Pilates session room and an additional open studio space.  We welcome applicants who have a passion for and experience with other forms of movement such as yoga, dance, and barre.  We believe in helping our staff grow and succeed.  

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a supportive, friendly, and outgoing presence at the studio
• Communicating effectively with clients and co-workers
• Working with clients of different ages and abilities
• Pre-programming Pilates classes and private sessions to meet the unique needs of each client
• Identifying contraindicated exercises for injuries and special populations
• Modifying exercises as needed for various fitness levels, injuries, or special populations
• Ensuring arrival time allows for proper class setup
• Beginning and ending classes on time and resetting the studio to its original state after class has ended
• Maintaining a clean and orderly studio area
• Checking equipment for safety on a regular basis and immediately reporting to manager when repairs are needed
• Teaching classes as scheduled and notifying manager in advance when conflicts arise for scheduled classes
• Innovating, collaborating, and exploring creative fitness ideas to create positive client experiences
• Teaching within your scope of practice

Requirements

Pilates Instructor Certification on Reformer through a nationally recognized program.  Preference given to candidates with Comprehensive certification and/or additional Apparatus certification.

Newly certified Pilates instructors are encouraged to apply.

First Aid/CPR certification will be required within the first 4 months of employment.

Work Schedule

Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.

Residents of California, Colorado, New York, and Washington: Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $28.00/hour to $40.00/hour. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
